Jakarta, 19 June 2023 - PT Siloam International Hospitals Tbk. (SILO), the healthcare arm of PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (LPKR), continues to strengthen its position as a leading private healthcare provider in Indonesia by advancing three core specialties: kidney transplant procedures, in vitro fertilization (IVF) programs, and stroke emergency response services.

In 2022, Siloam Hospitals ASRI became one of the few private hospitals to receive an official Kidney Transplant Procedure Recommendation Certificate from the Indonesian government. To date, it remains the only private hospital in Indonesia actively performing kidney transplants. The hospital’s first transplant procedure was conducted on July 20, 2017. Building on this milestone, Siloam Hospitals ASRI officially inaugurated its Kidney Transplant Center on January 12, 2023.

The 5-year patient survival rate at Siloam Hospitals ASRI reaches 95.6%, exceeding the global average of 95.8% as reported by the European Renal Association Registry (ERAR) in 2013. The graft survival rate stands at 98%, approaching ERAR’s benchmark of 98.6%.

Since the launch of its transplant program, Siloam Hospitals ASRI has performed over 240 successful kidney transplants. In 2017, the hospital conducted 8 procedures, growing to 73 in 2022, and 31 transplants in just the first four months of 2023.

SILO also leads in reproductive medicine through its Blastula IVF clinic in Palembang. Since its inception in 2021, Blastula IVF Sriwijaya has achieved a pregnancy success rate exceeding 55%—well above the global benchmark of 30–45%. The clinic has resulted in over 500 successful pregnancies and more than 150 take-home babies. With high success rates and comprehensive fertility services, Blastula IVF is on par with leading international fertility clinics.

Additionally, SILO has been recognized as a key player in stroke care. Two Siloam hospitals have been awarded the Stroke-Ready Hospital designation, with more units in development. SILO has partnered with the Angels Initiative, a global healthcare movement focused on ensuring hospitals are equipped to deliver rapid and effective stroke care. Since 2019, SILO has collaborated with Angels Initiative and now has hospitals accredited with both platinum and gold status.

John Riady, Group CEO of LPKR and President Commissioner of SILO, emphasized the group's commitment to advancing healthcare in Indonesia. “Healthcare is a critical sector in Indonesia’s growth story. As our economy continues to expand, so does the demand for quality medical services. Through SILO, LPKR remains committed to healthcare expansion and to fulfilling our mission of meeting the nation’s healthcare needs while driving sustainable growth,” said John Riady.

SILO operates 41 hospitals across 23 provinces, making it the largest private hospital network in Indonesia—reaching over 50% of the national population. The network includes 15 hospitals in Greater Jakarta and 26 across Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, and Ambon. Additionally, SILO runs 66 Siloam Clinics throughout the country.
