IMPLEMENTING ESG, LPKR PROVIDES COVID-19 RESPONSE ASSISTANCE
Tangerang, March 4, 2022 – As a tangible manifestation of its commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk. (LPKR) has once again provided social assistance as part of its efforts to support COVID-19 response, particularly for communities living around the Lippo Village integrated township area.
The assistance, consisting of hundreds of boxes of instant noodles, was distributed through Lippo Village’s Town Management Division (TMD) and aimed to support residents currently undergoing self-isolation (isoman) in Kelapa Dua District, Tangerang Regency. The aid was received directly by Kelapa Dua District Head, Prima Saras Puspa, at the Kelapa Dua District Office.
LPKR CEO John Riady stated, “We hope that this aid, as a form of the company’s social concern, can meaningfully support the duties of our stakeholders. LPKR has consistently demonstrated its awareness of the surrounding community’s condition, especially amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We hope this assistance can help uplift the spirit of all stakeholders involved.”
In line with Lippo Group’s signing of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics (SCM) initiative as a declaration of its ESG commitment, John Riady reaffirmed that LPKR continuously strives to uphold ESG principles across all of its operations.
Among the four core SCM pillars—Principles of Governance, Planet, People, and Prosperity—this COVID-19 relief program reflects the People principle, which encourages companies like LPKR to deliver positive impact for consumers, employees, and surrounding communities.
