John Riady, Group CEO of Lippo, stated that LPKR adopts a comprehensive approach to staff development by offering a wide array of training programs that cover both technical skills and soft skills required for various roles. In addition, LPKR regularly conducts refresher sessions on internal policies and procedures to ensure strong corporate governance practices.
Throughout the year, LPKR organized numerous training and capacity-building programs aimed at enhancing both the functional and technical capabilities of its workforce. These trainings are conducted internally and in collaboration with third-party training providers to offer employees broader insights into best industry practices.
The use of digital platforms also allows LPKR to deliver more tailored learning modules to meet the specific upskilling needs of individual employees.
In the real estate segment, training focuses on occupational health and safety, as well as compliance with quality standards to deliver high-quality developments, complemented by digital-based soft skills training. In the healthcare segment, training programs span from patient care to clinical expertise, with regularly updated materials to keep pace with the latest developments in the healthcare industry. Meanwhile, in the lifestyle segment, training emphasizes customer service, facility management, and operational excellence to enhance customer satisfaction.
In 2023 alone, LPKR employees completed a total of 702,071 training hours, averaging 41 hours per employee across all business units, with total training expenditures amounting to IDR 6.93 billion. Employees in the healthcare segment recorded the highest average training hours at 47 hours, reflecting the importance of in-depth training in medical procedures, service excellence, and workplace safety protocols.
Furthermore, in 2023, employees completed 1,156 hours of training focused on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and stakeholder engagement, with over 900 hours of ESG-related training held internally. LPKR has committed to increasing annual ESG training hours to 1,600 hours by 2030.
