LPKR REAFFIRMS ITS COMMITMENT TO SUPPORTING SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES
Lippo Village, June 7, 2021 – Amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk. (“LPKR”) continues to demonstrate its commitment to the surrounding communities by providing direct assistance to residents near its flagship township, Lippo Village.
The assistance, consisting of 6,000 catfish fingerlings, fertilizer, and planting media, was officially handed over on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, to Kelapa Dua Sub-District Head Prima Saras Puspa, accompanied by Bojong Nangka Urban Village Head Dani Herdiyana, at the Bojong Nangka Sub-District Office.
Danang Kemayan Jati, Director of External Relations at LPKR, stated, “LPKR cannot turn a blind eye to the conditions faced by the surrounding community, especially during a crisis like the Covid-19 pandemic. We hope this contribution can help uplift the spirit of the residents, encourage optimism, and serve as valuable capital to support fish farming and urban agriculture. This initiative is also a concrete demonstration of LPKR’s corporate social responsibility.”
“We express our deepest gratitude to LPKR for once again showing its concern for the community. Previously, LPKR also provided productive land to establish the Kampung Tangguh Jaya initiative in RW 10, Bojong Nangka, which has been utilized by residents impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Moving forward, we sincerely hope that LPKR’s actions can serve as an example for other companies to contribute as well,” said Kelapa Dua Sub-District Head, Prima Saras Puspa.
Prima Saras Puspa further explained that the fingerlings, fertilizer, and planting media will be distributed to two Kampung Tangguh Jaya communities located in Bojong Nangka Urban Village, Kelapa Dua Sub-District, Tangerang Regency—specifically RW 10 and RW 28.
“In addition, some of the catfish fingerlings will be distributed to other residents in Bojong Nangka who have also been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. The distribution will be managed directly by the Bojong Nangka Village Office,” added Prima Saras Puspa.
