Makassar, 20 February 2025 – PT Gowa Makassar Tourism Development Tbk. (GMTD), the leading developer of the integrated Tanjung Bunga Makassar area, continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainability by integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into every aspect of its business strategy.

This commitment is reflected in various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives implemented under the group-wide framework titled “Lippo Untuk Indonesia PASTI” (PASTI: Pintar – Asri – Sejahtera – Tangguh – Independen).

On Thursday, February 20, 2025, GMTD organized a blood donation drive, one of its key CSR programs, in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Makassar Branch. The event, held at the Main Hall of GTC Mall, Tanjung Bunga, Makassar, attracted over 100 donors.

In addition to GMTD employees, the event also welcomed donors from tenant employees in the GTC Mall area as well as residents from the Tanjung Bunga community. A team of 12 PMI Makassar personnel was deployed to support the initiative, working in coordination with the GMTD CSR team.

Jemmy Andreas, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of GMTD, stated that the company has consistently organized blood donation drives since 2013. In 2024, a total of 527 bags of blood were successfully collected through GMTD's blood drives in collaboration with PMI Makassar.

"We are committed to supporting the blood supply needs in Makassar. We hope every unit of blood collected can bring renewed hope to those in need," said Jemmy.

Nur Ilmi, a blood donation officer from PMI Makassar, expressed her appreciation for GMTD’s initiative and fully supports its continuity. She also hopes such events will inspire other companies to host similar activities, while encouraging the surrounding community to embrace blood donation as a healthy lifestyle.

This blood donation activity reflects the “Tangguh” pillar of the “Lippo Untuk Indonesia PASTI” framework. GMTD remains committed to delivering impactful CSR programs that support sustainable development in Indonesia, especially for communities living in close proximity to the company’s business operations.
