27 June 2022

Jakarta - PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk ("LPKR" or "Company"), Indonesia’s leading real estate and healthcare platform by revenue, has published its inaugural consolidated Sustainability Report for 2021. The Report underscores LPKR’s commitment to creating long-term value for all stakeholders in its ecosystem, and enhancing its environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance.

Guided by the Sustainability Vision of “Creating a Sustainable Home for Future Generations”, LPKR’s Sustainability Framework articulates its approach to sustainable value creation across 4 key pillars: 1) Enhancing Quality of Life, 2) Investing in Our People, 3) Caring for Our Environment, and 4) Championing Best Practices. LPKR’s framework is aligned with the four overarching themes of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics – Prosperity, People, Planet, and Principles of Governance, as well as the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This is a reflection of the Company’s efforts to promote the principles of the WEF Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics, as a long- standing partner of WEF and one of the first corporations in Southeast Asia to pledge its support for the Metrics.

The ESG Committee’s primary responsibilities include (i) identifying and assessing ESG risks and opportunities; (ii) overseeing the formulation and implementation of LPKR’s sustainability strategy; and (iii) driving reviews and improvements to internal processes in line with prevailing best practices. The ESG Committee reports to the Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors, as the highest governance bodies in the Company.

John Riady, CEO of LPKR, commented, "Lippo Karawaci was founded on the vision to impact lives through the development of well-planned sustainable independent townships within green environment and first-class physical and social infrastructure. While our business has evolved over the last three decades, we have not wavered in our commitment to create beautiful, sustainable and thriving urban ecosystems for all to enjoy. Across our myriad business operations, we continue to be driven by the shared purpose to advance the well- being of those we serve, taking care of our customer’s needs from cradle to grave as well as supporting our local partners and communities.

Looking ahead, the leadership at Lippo Karawaci is committed to further integrating sustainability in our business strategy and operations, by building on the good momentum of our ongoing sustainability efforts. We are pleased to note that Lippo Karawaci has been recognized as a constituent of the IDX-KEHATI ESG Sector Leaders Index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period December 2021-May 2022. This validates our approach to sustainable value creation and spurs us to be even more ambitious in our ESG plans in the years to come.”
